A New Chapter of Success and Honor

A New Chapter of Success and Honor

A Distinguished Premier

On this month of Independence, another prestigious victory is being achieved. With the verdict of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), Bangladesh again established its claim on the maritime boundary against Myanmar. This historic verdict brought an end to a long-standing dispute of 38 years on the maritime boundary between Bangladesh and Myanmar on March 14, 2012. The Tribunal based in Hamburg, Germany issued its verdict at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), which sustained its claims to 200-nautical-mile exclusive economic and territorial rights in the Bay of Bengal rejecting claims of Myanmar.

AB Bank Limited expresses its heartiest congratulations to the daughter of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and the Honorable Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, and her Government for their outstanding leadership in achieving such prestigious success for which the whole nation is proud today.

This opens up a new horizon for the economic development of Bangladesh. May the remarkable journey of triumph continues.
